HIV PrEP
HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (HIV PrEP) is a combination of two active ingredients that are effective against HIV. It is recommended for people who have a particularly high risk of HIV. Depending on risk and personal preference, this tablet can be taken daily or on an event-based schedule.

Requirements for billing through health insurance
Billing through health insurance is possible, provided the treatment takes place at a clinic participating in the SwissPrEPared program (as is the case with us) and you belong to one of the following three groups*:
1. Men (cis & trans) as well as trans women who have sex with men and fulfill at least one of the following criteria:
- You have anal sex without a condom
- You want to have anal sex without a condom
- You have had an STI diagnosis in the last 12 months
- You have had HIV PEP in the last 12 months
- You use substances for sex
2. People who have sex without a condom with people from one of the following groups
- Men (cis & trans) and trans women who have sex with men
- Sex workers from countries with a higher HIV prevalence in the overall population
- People who have sex without a condom with a partner who is living with HIV and whose viral load is not below the detection limit
